Day 2

My nose and eyes are killing me from what I'm hoping is just allergies, if not then it's a cold (goddammit) from the bi polar temperatures between HK outdoors and the -10 degrees air conditioning indoors EVERYWHERE.
Grabbed lunch with PorPor (grandma from mom's side) and my mom at Cafe de Coral and then headed to Wan Chai with my mom to get a new HK ID since I am officially an adult when I turn 18, hence renewing my ID is needed. It was pretty quick for the first ID, made it just in time for dimsum with my YehYeh (grandpa from dad's side) and my aunt and uncle at Red Star (that's right, the same one as Vancouver). I got cute dimsum. LOL. Cute as in: buns shaped and molded into a graduates (one girl one boy), fried bbq pork things in shapes of elephants and red bean and chocolate thing into squirrels. So damn cute. I'll show you guys pictures I took when I feel productive.

Headed back to the HK immigration to do my 2nd piece of ID, which took 1.5 hours longer than needed, and by that point I was hella grumpy from my allergies and from the long wait. WAIT thats not all! Two stupidass little girls decided to fan themselves, because APPARENTLY the -20degree air conditioning there wasn't FREEZING enough for them! And they just decided to have horrible aim and I was the recieving end for all the fuckin' breeze. Grumps added one when I encountered one bratty annoying little boy, the type that you're just silently waiting for them to fall off the chair with wheels they're standing on. Literally, I almost died from having to refrain from glaring and rolling my eyes at everyone I saw at least 10923592837592837529 times today.

Went to "Hoi Yee", where my grandpa and relatives lives, met up with my aunt and uncle to buy groceries at the market. Got fresh seafood (such good food for a good price): prawns, fish, crabs, and scallops! AND I got fresh durian(YUM). Went to this "outlet mall" in the area where they sold Max Mara, Juicy, Boss and other brands for "cheaper" prices (aka, no deal unless you look for 90% off items) and had tea time snack at a cafe that was located in one of the fancy furniture stores called TREE (everything made from wood, original eh?)

Got to their apartment and my grandpa was already watching the olympics :) And my aunt showed me the photobook she made from my dad's whole fam since they were babies and when my grandparents were young. Wow, haha my dad looks exactly like how my grandpa was when he was young :) At some point we reached my grandma's page, and I felt a little sad, because I'm pretty sure YehYeh (grandpa) misses her too, its not like the quietness was any different from how he usually is (he's like my dad, quiet but lots of wisdom); but it was just a feeling I got that he misses her. I don't remember my grandma too much, aside from looking at the pictures because she passed away when I was little, but from the stories I've heard about her, she's pretty awesome :)

Diana, my cousin got home from work just for dinner, my uncle has this thing for making different chicken dishes lately so he (technically the house keeper) made lemon herb chicken and potatoes, woohooo; in addition to the already yummy dinner (plus the masago and salmon sashimi we brought from Van). Watched more Olympics and mom and I got a ride from my uncle back to PorPor's place. Now I'm watching more Olympics, not missing out on this shit. Canada women's 8 for rowing got a silver! YAYYYYYYY <3

CHEERS!

In other words:
-My yehyeh's housekeeper Linda (she's been here since I was a baby) asked if I had skin allergies when I told her I needed to take allergy meds... when I just have a bad case of acne. Sighsighsigh
-most people (not saying all, but I'm talking about 95% here) in HK don't have a single "sorry" bone in their damn body
-bad parenting point proven; HK NEWS: mom arrested for child abuse, disciplining her daughter by biting her (wtf). Doctors deemed her as mentally unsteady from having to take care of her 80 year old dad, as well as raising her daughter. But seriously, biting and scratching your daughter is NOT the way to go.
-I'm going to say "Thank you" to the bus drivers when I get off, I mean since we do that in Vancouver, why not here too right? Even if nobody shows grattitude, the bus drivers deserve a little appreciation.
-I need to spend more time with my Por Por and YehYeh.

PorPor = grandma from mom's side
YehYeh= grandpa from dad's side
